Our History

Established in 1960, Joseph Gad is the second generation of a family business focused on the finest Colombian Emeralds and has since become the global premier source for extraordinary and rare precious stones and diamonds. In 1968, the Gad Family became the Exclusive Partner of Muzo Mine in Bogata, Columbia. In 1975, The Gad Family was instrumental in the legalization of the exportation of Emeralds from Colombia to the United States. Since 1986, Joseph Gad has been considered by the gem trade the leading authority when it comes to single stones, matched pairs and layouts.

Joseph Gad is a name that is synonymous with the finest precious stones. As a well established, industry-acknowledged leader in the colored stone market, Joseph Gad is a recognized name among the largest and well known jewelry brands as the quintessential expert on all things when it comes to Emeralds, Rubies and Sapphires.
